We arrive on schedule to threatening skies and the whole plane

load of people, after a bus ride to the terminal, is herded into a

corridor in the lower level. The reason for this is a mystery but

there we stay for over 30 minutes. When we first enter the

building a terrible alarm was ringing and after a minute or so,

someone in uniform gets it shut off. Then after our release

from the corridor of hell, we spent an hour with our fellow

passengers trying to get our bags off the conveyor with carts
three deep and tempers at the end of endurance.

I thought I’d put my bag in a locker but no such luck. The only

lockers were in the terminal (inside the security area) and I

gave up the Catch 22 situation. After a harrowing ride to M’s

place, I call to confirm my flight for the next day and call Mike
to tell him I was back in the U.S.

We eat pizza at VIVA’s next door to M’s condo and when we get

back she goes right to bed. I crash on my futon on the floor
and read for a while and then slept like the dead until 5 a.m.

That was 8 hours so I feel pretty good when I get up. M
wanders out after a while and makes cheese omelets and toast.

I’ve enjoyed this trip very much. I’m glad I got to see Ireland as

it is truly a beautiful and interesting place. I feel like I’ve been
away forever. Mary Ann was a wonderful traveling companion

but I miss the “Big Fella”.
