Day 3 Aran Islands – June 11 th

It’s morning at Castle View. We know because the day begins

once more with that off key concert. A German couple joins us

for breakfast and the woman is as unattractive as the other one

was but very nice like the other one. The Dutch folks have been

to the Burren and suggest we go there but we have other plans

even though it’s rainy and cold.

We bought tickets so we might as well be good little soldiers

and go to the Aran Islands. I put on all the warm clothes I have

with me (camisole, T-shirt, sweater, wool jacket, and rain coat)

and set out for our jumping off point in Galway. Expecting a

boat we are surprised when a bus shows up at the dock. We

heard later that the bay was so rough that they decided to drive
