d.  They further understand that they must bear the initial cost of the registration, books, tuition, and
                  other fees necessary for enrollment unless advanced payment is requested and approved.


              e.  They  also  understand  there  is  no  reimbursement  for  books  not  required  for  the  course,
                  equipment, parking, mileage, meals, etc.

              f.  After successful completion of the course and receipt of final grade, they will provide the Credit
                  Union  with  a  copy  of  their  institutions  official  grade  transcript.  If  reimbursement  was  not
                  advanced, they will submit a reimbursement request form for payment through Accounts Payable.


              g.  They  acknowledge  and  agree  that  should  they  terminate  (resignation  or  discharge)  their
                  employment with the Credit Union, or be terminated for cause, prior to six (6) months following
                  the completion of an undergraduate degree and/or twelve (12) months following the completion
                  of a graduate degree, the employee will reimbursement the credit union the total tuition amount
                  for the last course completed and paid for by Police FCU plus related textbook amounts. Such
                  deductions will be authorized and deducted from the employee’s last paycheck.


              h.  If their final compensation from the Credit Union is not sufficient to cover these costs, they agree
                  that they will be responsible for full reimbursement to the Credit Union prior to their last day of
                  employment with the Credit Union.

              i.  In the case of separation (resignation or discharge) before completion of the course or before the
                  amount of the reimbursement is recovered, the total tuition for the course plus related textbook
                  amounts will be returned to the Credit Union by the employee and may, subject to federal law, be
                  deducted from the employee’s last paycheck(s) or any other amount due to the employee from

                  the Credit Union.  If the employee’s final compensation from the Credit Union is not sufficient to
                  cover these costs, the employee will be responsible for full reimbursement to the Credit Union
                  prior to their last day of employment with the Credit Union.

              j.  After successful completion of the course and receipt of final grade, reimbursement paperwork
                  shall be completed and submitted by the employee to their supervisor for payment authorization.


              k.  Employee  acknowledges  that  they  have  read  and  fully understand  the  Educational  Assistance
                  Agreement they are signing.

              Educational  Assistance  is  a  benefit  for  which  employees  may  apply,  and  is  not  a  condition  of
              employment.  This policy may be revised or eliminated at any time.
