EDUCATIONAL ASSISTANCE

              Police Federal Credit Union believes that formal education has a positive impact on an employee’s
              contribution to the Credit Union and supports self-development by providing reimbursements for
              qualified  expenses  associated  with  continuing  education.  The  program  is  designed  to  provide
              employees with tuition reimbursement for job related professional development funded by the Police
              FCU.

              Educational pursuits that full-time employees desire to have paid by the Credit Union must be directly
              related to the employee’s job responsibility and authorized before enrollment occurs.  Full tuition
              reimbursement (100 percent) will be available for undergraduate coursework, not to exceed three (3)

              credit hours per semester and not to exceed the current rate at the University of Maryland, College
              Park, applying the Maryland resident rate, to cover the cost of approved undergraduate coursework.
              One-half tuition reimbursement will be available for graduate coursework, not to exceed three (3)
              credit hours per semester, and not to exceed the same rate as above to cover the cost of approved
              graduate coursework.

              The Education Assistance is defined as job related professional development that is partially funded
              by the Credit Union. The program is designed to reimburse employees for job related courses, which

              may lead to a formal professional degree from an accredited college or university.

               All  full-time,  regular  employees  are  eligible  to  apply  for  tuition  reimbursement  and  education
              assistance after the successful completion of six months of employment and who currently meet the
              expectations of their job.

              Attendance for all undergraduate and graduate coursework will be scheduled during non-work hours.


              Covered Expenses - College

              Full  tuition  reimbursement  (100  percent)  will  be  available  for  undergraduate  coursework,  not  to
              exceed three (3) credit hours per semester rate at the attending institution.

              One-half tuition reimbursement will be available for graduate coursework, not to exceed three (3)
              credit hours per semester, and not to exceed the same rate as above to cover the cost of approved
              graduate coursework.
