FINAL PAYCHECK
For employees leaving voluntarily in the state of Maryland the employee will receive his or her final
paycheck on the next regularly scheduled pay date, which will include wages for all hours worked and
not yet paid. An employee’s final paycheck will include all applicable deductions (federal, state, local
taxes, and any other deductions scheduled or required). Deductions authorized in writing by the
employee and in accordance with applicable laws may be made from the final paycheck.
Employees working in the District of Columbia and leaving voluntarily will receive their final paycheck
on the next regularly scheduled pay date, which will include wages for all hours worked and not yet
paid. The employee’s final paycheck will include all applicable deductions (federal, state, local taxes,
and any other deductions scheduled or required).
Employees working in the District of Columbia, and leaving involuntarily will receive their final
paycheck within 24 hours of employment termination, which will include wages for all hours worked
and not yet paid. An employee’s final paycheck will include all applicable deductions (federal, state,
local taxes, and any other deductions scheduled or required).
COMPANY PROPERTY
It is the policy of Police FCU to provide the furnishings, equipment, technology, and other resources
necessary for employees to meet the Credit Union’s expectations and accomplished initiatives. All
such resources provided to the employee by Police FCU are considered Credit Union property and
must be treated as such. In addition, anything produced by an employee (documents,
correspondence, policies, procedures, etc.) is intended for business related purposes and considered
Police FCU property.
Employees must return all Credit Union property (such as keys, uniforms, files, security badges,
computers, etc.) immediately upon resignation or termination of employment. Where permitted by
applicable laws, the Credit Union may withhold from the employee’s paycheck(s) or any other amount
due the cost of any items not returned when required. Additionally, where permitted by applicable
laws, the employee is responsible to pay for any lost or damaged items. Police FCU may take all action
deemed appropriate and in accordance with applicable laws to recover or protect its property.
EXIT INTERVIEW
When an employee gives notice of intent to cease employment with Police FCU he/she may be asked
to participate in an exit interview with Human Resources. The interview may be conducted in person,
in writing, or by phone. During the exit interview, exiting employees are encouraged to express
themselves freely. Information obtained from exit interviews help Human Resources and
management to gain further insight into what went well and possible improvements for the future.
During the exit interview, the employee will surrender to Human Resources all Police FCU property,
such as keys, laptops, computer passwords, and security cards prior to their last day.
