2 Prayer
Whilst there is always scope for more prayer, our current provision is
working well, both with the Zoom weekly meeting and with the notifica-
tions we receive for prayer needs.
3 Bible Study
The Bible Study group and the Home Group are both successful. I would
like to explore how we can expand the Home Groups and also how we
could take the core content of the Bible Study and make it available to
those who cannot attend the fortnightly Tuesday afternoon meeting.
4 Pastoral Care
There is a great deal of informal pastoral care going on in our fellowship
– much to be proud of and grateful for. Ann Yeates and I are looking at
how we could be clearer about what is expected of a ‘Pastoral Friend’
without forgetting the fact that we are all Pastoral Friends to one another.
5 Social
I think we’ve got this sorted! A few may day trips out would be good, and
I expect to see these emerging in the Spring.
6 Communication
Martin Barnet has created a simple to use spreadsheet that can be
shared with the church meeting to show where my time and focus is
being invested.
Access to my online diary is available to any who want it.
Davina and I, with Martin’s input, are looking at Monday.com as a way to
manage the increasing levels of complexity that are arising as we take on
and manage more projects.
7 Evangelism
We may think we don’t do evangelism – we are certainly not pushy. But
we do need new members. If we see evangelism as sharing good news,
we are currently increasingly effective with the expansion of ‘Warm Wel-
comes’ using our church facilities. We are now recognised members of
the Community Action Network, which puts us in a position to apply for
funding. Once again, no margin, no mission. We therefore believe we
will soon be in a position to sustain compassionate community outreach
without straining the church’s financial resources.
