Wareham Folk Harvest

Following on from our successful launch last year,
we’re excited to say that Wareham Folk Harvest
                                                          th
will be returning on Saturday 17 September. As a
registered charity, the committee has been
working hard to keep the festival costs low, and
yet bring enough revenue from our ticketed events
to help ensure the financial security of the festival.
Once again the United Reformed Church will be the base for the
festival, hosting our Information Desk for ticket sales, and also our
two ticketed concerts, featuring both nationally respected and also
top class local artists. We very much appreciate the support and
hospitality we are receiving from the church community.

The evening concert features folk musician, storyteller, and Festival
Patron, Tim Laycock, and Mitchell and Vincent, a quality duo
playing traditional and original material on violin and guitar. The
afternoon concert headlines Mick Ryan, another nationally
respected songwriter, weaver of stories in to song, Jim Chorley,
young duo Good Habits, and stunning local guitarist Bob Carter.
Throughout the day, there will also be free music, workshops, and
a folk production in other venues around town. These include Not
Just Sundaes Cafe, where there will be easy listening music from
10.30 and a 'Come All Ye' session from 1 - 3 pm, when various
      performers can showcase their skills.
We hope locals and visitors alike come along and join in, as the
town comes alive with colourful dance sides too.
