Christmas Shoeboxes
Blythswood Care

We are very pleased that the Church Meeting agreed
for us to continue supporting the Blythswood Shoebox
Appeal.

Swanage URC has been packing shoeboxes for many years,
guided by Jeanne Harrison and more recently by Ann Gould. Many
others have contributed suitable items throughout each year and
enjoyed the fellowship of ‘packing day’ in October. However, as
reported in the previous Link magazine, things have been a bit
different for 2024.

In 2025 we hope to start collecting suitable items again, and a list
of suggestions will be printed in the magazine each month – as we
have been doing for a long time. It would be very helpful if your
items could be added to the collection box in the vestibule on a
regular basis, so that we will know what we have throughout the
year. This will avoid a panic in September for any essential items.

It is our intention to pack a good
number of boxes, but not with any
large target in mind. We will do what
we can, as we feel sure that whatever
we donate will be much appreciated
by those who receive our shoeboxes
packed with our love.
