Christmas is coming . . .
We have a worship preparation meeting on 19th November to plan
our Christmas Eve service and look at the beginning of next
year. Anyone wishing to join us we'll be at the church, 4 pm on
19th November.
We are also putting together our very own Favourite Christmas
readings, poems, prayers and Carols for 15th December,
preferably readings based around 'Love'. There will be a box in
church to pop in suggestions or you can email our new worship
prep email address SwanageURCworshipgroup@gmail.com
With your suggestions. If it it something to read, we'd love you to
do that yourself but we could also do this for you.
We will try to accommodate all but in the case of too many
suggestions we will pull the items out of a hat! Please don't let this
stop you. We'll certainly consider any additional carols for the rest
of our Christmas services.
Many thanks
Davina and Emily
This year we will be putting all of our services and candlelight
evenings and events for Christmas into a leaflet and attaching
them to biscuits again.
If you are able to bake biscuits or deliver biscuits with leaflets
through letterboxes near our church, please speak to or
message

A poet once wrote ‘Where is the wisdom we have lost in
knowledge? / Where is the knowledge
we have lost in information?’
These words, which sound strikingly relevant to our
situation today, were actually written in 1934 by T S Eliot.
