Farewell, not Goodbye!
Many thanks to all who contributed in any way to
Lex’s celebratory meal and presentation. Some
people had visitors or holiday arrangements etc. -
sorry you missed it!
Many thanks to Ann and Richard Coleman and their helpers for the
delicious meal. Your generous donations enabled us to give Lex
and Penny vouchers for £60 worth of visits to Sculpture by the
Lakes, plus a £45 voucher for their cream tea and also £100
spending money. No doubt there will soon be pictures to see!
After all costs were taken, £70 was also raised for church funds.
Thank you so much Lex for all you have done for our church and
the wider community. We are not saying goodbye!
Ruth

Richard and Ann created a delicious feast that was enjoyed by
all. I’m grateful to Emily for her kind words on behalf of the church
family and friends. There has been a lot of love shared over these
three years and this love was tangibly present.
A specific ‘thank you’ goes out to “Ruth, The Elder,” who has
ceaselessly beavered away in the background to gather words for
the beautiful card, donations, and commitment to our lunch – thank
you, Ruth, you are a legend!
“Sculpture by the Lakes,” is one of my favourite places – and thus,
to have a gift that gives Penny and me access to this Edenic
Paradise was and will be hugely appreciated. In conversation, I
discovered many members haven’t yet been there. If you would
relish a very special day out, I recommend a visit to Moreton
Church (there are breath-taking surprises in store if you’ve not
been there – no spoilers.) Over the road from Moreton Church,
