Christmas Shoeboxes

Summer is over and it’s time to ramp up the collections
for our Christmas Shoeboxes. Packing is usually in
late October ready for collection in early November.

This month we concentrating on Sweets (but NOT Chocolate) and
Small Toys. Tennis Balls, Combs, Mittens and Scarves and
underwear for boys and girls (any size) are still needed.

Food Bank update

Some families have obviously missed the support from the
schools during the summer holidays and have been glad of being
able to access help from the Food Bank.

Donations collected from the Supermarkets have been much
lower these last few weeks.

This is definitely not the case with the Food Bank donation bin
in our vestibule which is always generously filled with
thoughtful goods from you, for which we are grateful.

When there’s a request for food, we now ask if toiletries are
needed. We would be grateful for:

Shampoo, Toothpaste
Handwash, Soap

Baked beans
Marmalade and other spreads,
Tins suitable for lunches and main meals
