idols, so I don't know, it depends how you define it, I suppose. I'm quite happy with what I've done.
At my age, I'm quite happy to stay at home and then maybe go out and do a few gigs.
BiTS:
Are you doing anything online at the moment? There are lots of your colleagues who are doing
short sets from home and that kind of thing.
IS:
Yeah, on my Facebook page I've put a few things up where I've been playing along at home. I've
done two or three things like that. Like I say, I've not been that well, but when I'm feeling a bit
brighter, I shall put some more up. But yeah, I've done about four or five things for people. I think
it's a nice thing to do, isn’t it?
BiTS:
Is this enforced incarceration an opportunity to practise? Do you practise or do you just play gigs?
IS:
I don't practise, to be honest. I'm
not one of these people that has
a practise regime. I pick up the
guitar when I feel like picking it
up and it's more for writing
really. Trying to write songs and
just getting ideas to send to
Marcus. But no, I must admit I
haven't played for a couple of
days. I'm not a strict practiser.
BiTS:
How many guitars have you got
at home?
IS:
[Laughing] Do you know what,
I'm not sure, probably about ten
including acoustic guitars and
mandolins and things like that.
Probably about ten, but they all
get played. They're all in
different tunings because I play
quite a lot of slide guitar in
different tunings and so they're all practical. Every now and again, I think probably like a lot of
people with losing the gigs and whatever, I think quite a few of us guitar players are probably
going to have to be flogging a couple [chuckling] to pay bills.
BiTS:
Okay, well I won't take any more of your time. Stay safe.
IS:
And you, yeah.
