We started to play together a few years ago—since 2012—Since then we have played
together. I invited Philippe and Philippe invited me, and all of our friends were asking
us, but why are you doing this? We never know which kind of music we are going to

hear. If it's the Celtic music and French songs of Philippe or the blues country of
Rachelle.

Last year we felt, okay, maybe we would have to create a very real duet and we chose

a name which was linked with our artistic life already done because Philippe had an
amazing career with his album, his “Mabden” album, and he was the headliner at the

L'Olympia in Paris, which was amazing and it has a lot of audience from this side, and
on my side it's another kind of audience and we needed to link both.

That's why we chose to name our band with our last names—The Plas Hervouët Band.

That's why we called our duet that and we married our two repertoires with two
styles of music. We started to do it ten months ago, and since that moment, it's just
amazing to see the way it's taking off.

We are very deeply touched and honoured because we are supported by an amazing
team now. We met our agent ten months ago, just after we started to play under both
our names. We started to collaborate with an amazing person, who is one of the

biggest editors in the world.. It's a French name, but a very, very big name and we
are very honoured to work with him for our new album and we are preparing the

release of this new album.

BiTS: I thought until just a few days ago that Philippe only played guitar, but I have
seen that on YouTube a video of a song I think it's called ‘Walking For Freedom’, which

halfway through he picks up a harp and starts playing, and I'll tell you, it's damn good.
I love it.
