5.4 Relationship between Curriculum, Learning Objectives and
Learning Outcomes: CHAPTER 5 : CURRICULUM
• Curriculum is the sum total of a planned set of educational experiences to be
provided to students.
• Learning Objectives describe the expected goal of a curriculum, course, lesson or
activity in contexts of provable skills or knowledge acquired through instruction by
a student. The curriculum is planned to meet the desired learning objectives,
class and subject wise.
• Learning outcomes are the outcomes of learning that can be demonstrated by the

learner at the end of the lesson/class/course/textbook/completion of topic, etc.
