HEATING/AIR CONDITIONING for Office building & Plant offices

Provide gas fired, forced air, heating and cooling, consisting of a split-system with a
suspended furnace and outside condensing unit. Completely separate systems to be provided
for the upper and lower office areas. Split systems to be complete with adequately sized,
insulated supply ductwork and manually adjustable ceiling mounted diffusers. Suspended
ceiling space to be used for cold air return, with adequate and suitably located ceiling
mounted return air grilles. Fire dampers required at all penetrations of a rated assembly.
System to be controlled by a programmable combination heat/cool thermostat.

Heating design criteria
Maintain an inside temperature of 68 degrees Fahrenheit at an outside temperature of
–20 degrees Fahrenheit

Cooling design criteria
Maintain an inside differential of -12 degrees maximum to outside temperature.
E.I.: outside at +90 degrees Fahrenheit = inside at maximum +78 degrees
Fahrenheit.

Accessories
Provide adequate bases, aesthetic screening and suspension supports for all
equipment and appurtenances. All exposed refrigeration lines, wiring and
condensation piping to be properly terminated and protected in accordance with
standard trade practices, governing code and local authority.
