VENTILATION Plant

Provide general mechanical ventilation to code requirements. Exhaust fan and interlocked
intake louvre to be wall mounted.

General Ventilation Design Criteria
Provide minimum ventilation of one (1) cfm per square foot of Plant floor area at a
rate of three (3) air changes per hour.

VENTILATION Washrooms

Provide separate mechanical exhaust fan to each washroom (4). Exhaust fan to be ceiling
mounted and vented directly to the exterior with the last 6.0-ft. ductwork to be insulated. Fan
operation to be interlocked with washroom light fixture switch.

Washroom Ventilation Design Criteria
Provide ventilation based on code requirements related to number of fixtures
installed, and/or room size and minimum number of required air changes per hour.

VENTILATION Accessories

Provide properly framed, flashed and sealed openings complete with prefinished grilles, back-
draft damper, birdscreen and snow guard/gooseneck for Plant area intake as required.
