1300 – SPECIAL CONSTRUCTION

Building System

Plant building portion to consist of a pre-engineered structure manufactured by ACE Building
Systems. Building system to be designed for the local climatic conditions and design loads
applicable for the intended use, all in accordance with the governing building code and local
authority.

Structural System
A bolted beam and column structural framing system, comprising tapered welded
plate construction for main rafters and supporting side-wall columns. Interior
columns to be hot rolled hollow structural sections. Roof purlins, wall girts and
structurally framed door/window openings to be cold formed “C” or “Z” shapes
from hot rolled plate material. Wall and roof rod bracing, purlin and girt stabilizers
and braces to be provided as required.

Wall System
Exterior skin to be 1-1/2” deep corrugated vertical profile, 24-gauge pre-painted
10,000 series standard color metal cladding. Interior liner panel to consist of 1-1/2”
deep corrugated vertical profile, 26-gauge pre-painted white 5000 series standard
color. Wall system to be complete with pre-painted base, corner, eave/gable and
opening trim, sealants, foam closures and color coordinated fasteners.

Roof System
Exterior skin to be 24” wide, 2-1/4” deep standing seam 24 gauge panels with
concealed clip fasteners, all in a plain galvalume finish. Provide a thermal break
between top of roof purlin and underside of roof panel. Roof system to be complete
with preformed ridge, profile closures and sealants.

Accessories
Provide standard pre-painted rainwater gutters and downspouts at both sidewall
eaves full building length.
