❖ What are the challenges faced during Internship?
There are lot of challenges during the entire 2 months journey, I have listed few of them below.
• Long and tiring sessions where you are being continuously analysed
• Capability to understand new things quickly
• Good public speaking skills, Leadership skills
• Workplace politics – one should definitely learn to deal with it
• Keeping yourself and your team motivated as many of the interns give up in the middle
• Improving interpersonal skills since you will be interacting with new faces everyday at work and having good
interpersonal skills will result in good customer and employee relationships and hence ensures better
management.
❖ What did you do right and what did you do wrong?
There are many things I did right, and I have listed few of them below: -
• Whatever opportunity you get grab it happily and work on it.
• There is a thin line between being confident and being over smart, so though you might do every other thing
perfect but if you cross this line you are not culturally fit for Deloitte
• Taking responsibilities and staying committed towards your work
• Remember you never work alone; it is a group assignment and you win as a team not as an individual so
keep group interest above individual one.
All I can say is keep your focus on the work given and don't get distracted by the petty office politics of interns
from other colleges and act maturely.
❖ What are the things to keep in mind in the internship?
I would say always stick to the basics and it is very important to be professional in consulting work. They have
very good observation capabilities so all you have to do is behave friendly with everyone and do what you are
asked to do. It might happen that you might not even get extra work which people from your batch are getting,
please don’t panic, it is not going to impact your final selection. Again, I am repeating the same thing don’t cross
the line present between being over smart and being confident.
❖ What pre-internship preparation do you suggest for juniors?
You cannot predict what kind of project you might get so even if you go fresh and thoroughly follow whatever
they are saying, you will be good enough. If still you want to try something so learn basics of Oracle ERP cloud
implementation, Procure to Pay cycle, Order to Cash Cycle, Inventory, accounting and finance, etc.
