             Twenty (20) hours of continuing professional education in case management topics will be required annually,
             with record of continuing education maintained by the agency. Other professional development activities may
             include Mandated Trainings, Orientation, Seminars, Webinars, In-service, College of Direct Support, and
             Conferences.

             5.2    ICWP Program- Training Plan

             Case Managers working with the Independent Care Waiver Program (ICWP) will attend the New Provider Training
             (NPT) prior to working with the ICWP cases.
             New Case Managers must complete the DCH case manager modules within sixty days of approval. ICWP case
             managers must participate in a minimum of 4 continuing education opportunities per year. Each case manager
             must document their attendance and maintain this documentation in a Program Integrity file. Failure to attend
             mandatory training sessions will result in progressive disciplinary action.

             Continuing education requirements include the following:

                •  Participation in training sessions through Georgia Department of Community Health two times per
                    year.
                •  Participation in at least one Independent Living Philosophy and Goals training session through a
                    Center for Independent Living annually.

                •  Participation in at least one additional continuing education event annually. These can be approved
                    seminars, CEU events sponsored by colleges/universities, state training with the Department of
                    Community Health, Touch the Future Expos, trade shows on equipment, advocacy seminars, Centers for
                    Independent Living training sessions, and seminars for traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, cerebral
                    palsy and muscular dystrophy or other special needs population
             CCS ICWP staff must attend and/or send supervisory staff to the scheduled quarterly training sessions. Georgia
             Medical Care Foundation will be responsible for providing training dates. CCS staff who serve ICWP individuals
             must adhere to the mandatory requirement training sessions. Failure to attend provider training will result in
             termination from the program.

             5.3    Clinical Supervisor Training

             Thirty (30) hours of continuing education in supervision and support coordination topics will be required
             annually, with record of continuing education maintained by the agency.
