Introduction to Express Entry
In 2015, Canada introduced a new system for managing and proc essing application s
for Canadian permanent residence called Express Entry.
Express Entry is not a Canadian immigration program, but rather a system that helps
Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) proc ess application s for qualified skilled
workers through three economic immigration prog rams:
1. The Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP)
2. The Federal Skilled Trades Program (FST)
3. Canadian Experience Class (CEC)
