Express Entry and the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP)
You may have heard the term “PNP” before.
Canada’s provinces and territories can nom inate candidates for Canadian permanent
residence through the Express Entry pool .
Nunavut does not have a PNP, while Quebec has separate econom ic immigration
programs that are not managed throu gh Express Entry.
Provinces and territories are able to access the Express Entry pool throu gh a por tal
that allows them to view and select candidates in the pool .
If you are nominated by a province or territor y, you will receive a whop ping addition al
600 points in the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS), essentially guaranteeing that
an ITA will be issued to you in a subsequent draw from the Express Entry pool .
