Chapter 7: Getting your ITA
Your ITA will specify:
which program you were selected for and shou ld be submitting an application for
permanent residence under;
your CRS score breakdown; and
the date by which you should apply.
Your ITA is only valid for 60 days. That’s why the earlier sections of this guide stress
the importance of collecting your documents ahead of time. As soon as you receive
an ITA, start filling out the required on line form.
The online form itself will be pre- op ulated by much of what you entered in you r
Express Entry profile. In addition to the information you ’ve already entered, you will be
required to provide additional information for each member listed in the application ,
such as:
Address history
Travel history
Personal history
The system will also generate a person al document checklist for you and allow you to
upload your supporting documentation .
Only the following file formats are accepted for uploa ding you r doc uments: .tiff, .jpg,
.png, .doc, .docx and .pdf.
The required documents will include:
Passports/Travel documents
Education (diplomas/certificates/degrees)
Marriage License/Certificate
Proof of medical exam
Employment record
Police certificates
Proof of means of financial suppor t
