Abstract. COVID-19 has affected all sectors of life including farmer households. The
implementation of social distancing and others initiated by the local government has influenced
the lifestyle of farmers in rural areas. This study aims to identify the initial impact of COVID-
19 on farmers living in Aceh Province. The data was collected using an online survey and was
analyzed using a descriptive statistics approach. This study found that the economic impacts on
farmers’ vulnerability are more dominant in comparison to health sectors. This study suggests
that broader responses need to be conducted to clarify these initial findings.
