This month, we have covered habitats of animals and plants, where learners explored various climatic
Academic Activities Grade 2 conditions and did the comparison of different habitats. The learners were asked to draw a habitat for frogs.
They were also encouraged to prepare a project on the habitat of a fish.

This month, we have covered habitats of animals and plants, where learners explored various climatic

were also encouraged to prepare a project on the habitat of a fish.
Global Perspective
In Global perspectives, we dealt with the topics related to health, and personal hygiene. The learners were
taught the benefits of being healthy, and learnt about the eat well plate and the different portions of food
that needs to be taken on a regular basis. They also came to know about the unhealthy food items which
should be avoided.

French
Learners were introduced to the French culture and civilization. Knowing the culture of a country is important
when learning the language of that country. Therefore, learners learnt different facts about France like the
English continent where France is situated, its capital etc.
The learners were taught how to read stories, and cursive handwriting was emphasized during writing sessions. ICT
They have learnt concepts like; verbs, adjectives, punctuation, suffixes, prefixes and writing words/sentences in An online painting platform abcya_paint (advanced) was introduced where in the students of grade 2 could
alphabetical order. learn their mouse handling skills. They were able to draw some creative paintings on the computers. Learners
could also compare the pros and cons of the topic- Computer Vs Human. An Online Quiz was also conducted
Math on the same.
In the month of June we brushed up on a few topics like compliments, place values, ordinal numbers,
estimation and gave some practice problems. Learners were introduced to a new topic i.e., addition and
subtraction of sentences and facts using the counters, number line and part-part-whole models with some
practice problems to explore and understand the concept clearly.
