FOREWORD

As I write this, I am starting my twenty-seventh year
working with independent insurance agencies at SIAA
(Strategic Insurance Agency Alliance). Over that time,
SIAA and our Master Agencies have assisted over 4,800
insurance professionals realize their dream of starting
and owning an independent agency. In the early days
of SIAA, we simply didn’t know what we didn’t know.
Success and mistakes are what we turned into experience.
Working with agents and our Master Agency teams, we
collectively built a process to establish a foundation for
a successful insurance agency business.
Tony Caldwell and his One Agents Alliance team
have been with us, and making our processes better, for
twenty years. Given the shrinking exclusive channel,
an aging agency population, merger and acquisition of
larger agencies, technology, and a changing consumer,
