Does your Club and or District have a Strategic Plan? Although the exercise in developing a Strategic
Plan requires the participation of all members it would be beneficial.

Strategic Plan Defined: A strategic planning process identifies strategies to advance an organization’s mission.

Ideally, by engaging in the process with a commitment to establishing achievable and measurable goals,
agreeing on priorities, and creating steps for reaching the goals a specific path will be clear. There should also
be a schedule to revisit the strategy on an ongoing basis.

A BPW strategic plan, at all levels, could be a very short, concise document, easily digestible by
members. What success will look like, how to get there, and what resources will be needed.

Do you have a mentoring program pairing a seasoned member with a new member. The intent here is not like
the NFBPWC Mentoring Program rather a seasoned club member to take befriend/tutor a new member. Some
suggestions on what this might look like are welcome.

NOTE: A discussion of the above article will be on the Winter Board Agenda. Please share your ideas,
questions, or comments then or by email to Katherine Winans at jkw@gbis.com.
