Initial unpackaging of product
The initial reaction to the packaging was somewhat confused
regarding the graphics choice. The image on the top face of the box
depicts foods which are not appropriate for its use. Both back and
front, side and side, have the same images mirrored on them. The
top flap could not be opened without creating a tear in it. The text
alignment on the sidea was aligned right on the opposite sides of the
box, making it look uneven and off centre.
The contents were rattling around, not
too tightly or securely packaged. The
cord was shoved in down beside the
handle of the mixer, and took a bit of
tugging to pull out.
The mixers and the device itself were all stored in
separate open-ended plastic bags. There were extra
packaging elements for safety purposes, such as the
plastic caps on the plug, and safey tie on the cord.
The box contained a €60 voucher which was an inviting surprise. The
T’s and C’s prohibited the use of this voucher though, to customers in
Ireland. The entire end display isn’t all that impressive, and the packaging
did not suit the product at all. A redeeming factor of the packaging is
that the box itself is recyclable cardboard.
This packaging experience as a whole was somewhat subpar.vvv
