Cherry Wood
Material Surface Finish Natural
Description
Natural cherry traits like the tiny brown pith flakes, pin knots, and gum pockets or
streaks can vary from location to region. Traditional woodworkers and builders have
used cherry for many years because of its high quality as a beautiful, straight-grain
hardwood. It offers high shock resistance, a very strong texture, and a moderate
hardness. In addition to being strong, cherry wood is renowned for having a stunning
beauty.
Why This Material Was Chosen ?
I have chosen this material because cherry wood is an expensive material and
recreating this material will be more cost-efficient. Cherry wood has also a very
unique look and feel to it and creates an impression of quality and longevity which
in a result, giving a more hand made and vintage look to a product.
