Med Sync
Interfaces
Med sync is a device that is used to aid
diabetic children and their SNA's during
COVID.
SNAs can have more than one child to
care after, especially in understaffed
schools. This means they can be moving in
and out of different classes, increasing
the risk of spreading COVID.
The watch is for the SNA to monitor the
child’s blood glucose levels. The small
companion device is to be on the child’s
desk, it is connected to the child’s insulin
pump via Bluetooth and is constantly
monitoring their glucose levels.
The child’s device has a small emergency
button to be pushed if the child feels an
upcoming rise or fall in blood glucose.
The SNAs watch is always to be on their
person during school hours, their
interface starts flashing and beeping if
their child’s glucose levels drop or rise.
