# Culture Survey 2021
We are on a journey from a traditional automotive company to a
modern Industrial tech company, to be able to achieve our strate-
gy and long term results.
The right culture is key to get there and to achieve our results!
Alignment on values and behaviors is needed to create the cul-
ture we need in Aptiv to shape the future.
Aptiv started the culture journey 2019, asking approx. 2,000 re-
presentative employees about the status of the culture in a survey.
The outcome:
-2019: 44% Aptiv and 39% EMEA - Culture was standing in the way/not supportive
-2021: 56% Aptiv and 55% EDS EMEA - Culture is neutral
Great achievement but we are aiming to evolve our culture further to a degree that our culture will even support our
journey towards a modern tech company and a successful execution of our strategy.
A Summary of the results in EDS EMEA:
We are good at:
• Mobilize: Clarity & Customer Focus
• Agility: Resilience, Learning & Adaptability.
We are neutral in:
• Transformation: Innovation, Challenge & Collaboration
Areas for Improvement:
• Execute: Simplicity
• Winning Capabilities (Developing others, Best people in critical roles, Talent Management)
• Foresight (Future Focus vs Firefighting, External market scan for hidden opportunities)
Next steps:
Global EDS: General actions related to AFI which we will drive across the business including in EMEA
EDS EMEA: Focus areas: - regional actions (e.g. suggestion scheme & others)
We will focus on plants and functions with low results to agree actions and we will
continue with actions we already started on a regional level, like PCI etc.
Less is more or Do some actions but do them right!
