LAUNCHING NEW DIMENSIONS OF SERVICE

AKA EGO Program Focus for the Fall

Hello, my beautiful and sophisticated Sorors of EGO!

It is time to put on your pink and green gear for the Fall kickoff of programs. We
have a lot of great opportunities to make a difference in the lives of others in the
greater Huntsville community and beyond. Target I Educational Enrichment
ASCEND program will be entering the final cycle 4 of the program, kicking off
with a new group of young male and female students in grades 9-
12 continuing to focus on helping them become college and
career ready. Target I will also highlight historically black
universities and colleges during the THINKHBCU week the
third week in September.

During the final year of the Launching New Dimensions of Service program, we will continue to focus on
providing seasonal wraps, food for the hungry and backpacks in our community. Stay tuned to more details on
how you can help in this effort. Target II will be working with our health partner’s NAMI (National Alliance
of Mental Illness, in the second half, bringing awareness to mental health issues specifically in the African
American community.

Target IV will be focusing on how we can help to in reducing, recycle and restore
our environment. Don’t forget to report your Acts of Green each month to Soror
Ladonna McCann. In the month of October, we will have our final
Community Impact Day of Childhood Hunger and observing the International
United Nations Day! Sorors, we need you to join us in this effort! Together,
we can continue to make a difference by giving back to those who need
it the most! Thank you for an outstanding first half of programs and I
just know the second half is going to be even greater! EGO is going to
have a winning season once again “Launching New Dimensions of
Service” the AKA way!
