EGO's Annual Retention and Reactivation Event,
"the MasquerAKAde"

The Membership Committee collaborated with the Sisterly Rela-
tions Committee to host EGO's 2018 Retention & Reclamation
Event. Past years included a Tailgate Party, kicking off the year
with Sisterhood and Service, EGO's Wine and Cheese Gala and
the Pink and Green Soiree. This year's event, the "Spring Fling:
MasquerAKAde", was equally exciting and fun! The color
scheme was pink, green, purple and gold (classic Mardi Gras
colors).
Sorors showed up and showed OUT at the Omega Center decked
out in all types of elaborate outfits, masks and beads. The event
began with a grand entrance of the Membership Committee,
strolling in with decorated umbrellas for the “Umbrella Strut”
accompanied by Zydeco music.

Vibrant colors enhanced the ambiance for the evening and indi-
vidual party favors bedazzled the tables. Our entertainment included a “Best Mask” and “Best Dressed” competi-
tion with popular Cajun music playing in the background. The New Orleans Lunchbox catered this event, serving
exquisite New Orleans cuisine to 150 attendees.
