57th Debutante Presentation & Ball

Planning is in full swing for the 57th Debutante Presentation and Ball! The purpose of this signature event is
to enrich the cultural development of outstanding young ladies in Huntsville and surrounding areas. This
year’s theme, "Phenomenal Princess: A Stunning Reflection of Elegance,” was inspired by the works of
our dearly departed, Soror Maya Angelou.

Debutante season began Sunday, November 2, The forty-six Prospective Debutantes also
2014 with the Get Acquainted Tea, with the theme, completed at least one of four scheduled
“Elegance in Bloom.” The committee, led by Community Service Projects. The Community
Sorors Latoyia Clemons, Robyn Jackson and Service Projects, led by Soror Cynthia Holden and
Felicia Wilson, presented the Prospective Soror Mildred Blackshear, were developed in

The 57th Debutante Presentation and Ball Chairman, Soror Marian Guidry and Co-Chairman Soror Carol
Woods, have their hands busy this Debutante season! Featured in the next issue will be the Mother/Daughter
Brunch, Hobby-Talent Tea and the Debutante Presentation and Ball!
