Debutante Mother-Daughter Brunch 2023

Alpha Kappa Alpha, Epsilon Gamma Omega Chapter's Mother-Daughter Brunch
was held, Saturday, January 21, 2023, at 10:00 AM, Ernest Knight Center on the beauti-
ful campus of Alabama A & M University. The Chairman, Mrs. Barbara Williams pre-
sided over the brunch. The brunch was attended by 26 Prospective Debutantes, Mothers, Grandmothers,
God Mothers and Sorors. The Theme for this year's Brunch was "Celebrating Magical Moments with
Mothers and Daughters". Mr. Tommy Friend was guest saxophonist who provided our Prelude, Musical
Selections and Music during the Presentation of Prospective Debutantes and Mothers. Our Basileus, Mrs.
Tonya Wood brought greetings, Mrs. Anita Weathers, Meditation and the Occasion by Mrs. Benita Martin-
Dwight, Co-Chairman. A very heartfelt Song Selection was given by Miss Madison Thomas, Prospective
Debutante and her mother, Ms. Latoya Jackson. Mrs. Wilma Ruffin Bracy, Committee Member provided
the Salute to Mothers. The daughters presented their mothers with a lovely keepsake box with their picture
and a note inside. Many thanks to all the Sorors and Committee Members who supported this lovely event.
The brunch will always hold a special place in the hearts of all those who attended. Announcements and
Reminders were made by Mrs. Vanessa Williams, 64th Debutante Presentation Ball Chairman and Ms.
Alanda Acklin, Co-Chairman.
