The Polema plant has launched the production

of steel rollers for rolling mills

The Polema powder metallurgy plant has launched a section for the production of steel
rollers for roller fittings with an annual capacity of up to 10 thousand units. Investments in the
project amounted to 33 million rubles.
The site includes two new CNC turning and machining centers from the German company
DMG MORI. The company has already manufactured a trial batch of products and is planning to
start mass production of steel rollers in the near future.
"The launch of new equipment allows us to diversify our product portfolio. The company
already has a metal cutting department, our employees have excellent competencies in this
area. Nowadays, most of the steel rollers are imported from abroad. Organization of their
production at our enterprise will allow to reduce imports and provide domestic metallurgical
plants with high-quality products ", said Aleksey Filippov, Managing Director of Polema JSC.
