Form I-9 and present required identification documents. Employees who are authorized by work permits to work in the
United States are required to re-verify their employment eligibility upon expiration of the work permit.
2.6 SOLICITATION AND DISTRIBUTION
No solicitation or distribution of materials by non-employees will be allowed on A-MAX Insurance Service property,
including parking areas. Employees may not engage in solicitation or distribution of materials during their work time or the
work time of the employee being solicited. Work time does not include lunch or break period.
2.7 INTRODUCTORY PERIOD
The first thirty (30) days of employment will be considered an Introductory Period. This time is to be used for getting to
know your fellow employees, your supervisor and the tasks in your job position as well as becoming familiar with A-MAX
Auto Insurance’s operations. Employees are not eligible for employment benefits other than those required by law until
after the completion of the Introductory Period.
The Introductory Period is a tryout time for both you as an employee and for the Company as an employer. Your supervisor
and the Regional Manager will evaluate your suitability, and you should evaluate the Company as well.
However, the completion of the Introductory Period does not guarantee continued employment thereafter nor does it alter
the employment at-will relationship and the fact that either you or your A-MAX Auto Insurance employer can terminate
the employment relationship without cause or notice at any time.
2.8 VIOLENCE AND WEAPONS
The Company believes in maintaining a safe and healthy workplace, in part by promoting open, friendly, and supportive
working relationships among all employees. Violence or threats of violence have no place in our business. Employees are
strictly prohibited from bringing any weapons, including knives, pistols, rifles, stun guns, mace, or any other weapon to the
worksite or office. Neither threats of violence nor fighting will be tolerated. Furthermore, if you have a problem that is
creating stress or otherwise making you agitated, you are encouraged to discuss it with your supervisor.
You are expected to immediately report to your supervisor any violation of this policy. Any employee found threatening
another employee, fighting, and/or carrying weapons to the worksite will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and
including termination.
The Company prohibits the concealed carrying of handguns into its work buildings or offices. A person licensed under
Subchapter H, Chapter 411 of the Texas Government Code (the concealed handgun law), may not enter the buildings
occupied by A-MAX Auto Insurance with a concealed handgun. Concealed carry license holders may leave their handguns
in designated parking areas, concealed in their privately owned vehicles, which by law must be locked. The Company
reminds all employees who leave handguns in their vehicles that doing so requires the diligence and responsibility of locking
the vehicle and keeping the handgun out of view from people passing by the vehicle. Any employee who brings a firearm
into a parking area may be subject to personal civil liability if any injuries or other damages occur.
