4 Replace the photo with another of your choice, change the size of it,
then make it appear to the right of the text as it was when you began
5 If necessary use the focus option to alter the appearance of the photo
6 Select a text paragraph from the top section of the Welcome page and
change the colour of the text and add a contrasting coloured
background.
7 Take a look at the hierarchy of the page and establish if this has
changed at all due to this editing.
Edit an Existing Page using Dashboard options
You can do many things in Site View but for complex edits you might find it
preferable to use the Dashboard menus but you can use it for simple edits too.
Select the Dashboard option then hover over your site name top left
and you will have your Dashboard menus down the left hand side. If
you are in Site View then hover over your site name and select
Dashboard to arrive at the same page. We are now going to repeat the
previous edits but this time do them from the Dashboard menus that
you saw earlier.
First thing we want to do is change a word in the first media and text
block on our Welcome page. Select All pages from the menu and
navigate to the Welcome page. The page list is alphabetical. If you
hover over the page name you can see you have four options: Edit,
Quick Edit, Bin, and View. You can work out these choices for yourself
although we shall come back to Quick Edit a little later. To open the
page for editing you can click the name or select Edit.
You’ll get the screen below. That looks very familiar doesn’t it? If you updated
your page earlier on then the first paragraph will say ‘Our u3a’. Change it to ‘The
u3a’ as it was before. It’s the same procedure.
