If I Were the Mosquito
If I was the mosquito in Why Mosquitoes Buzz in People’s Ears, I would not hide
like the mosquito did in the story. I would talk to the king. In case I felt scared that the king
might punish me for telling a lie and causing a big trouble, I would write a note to the king.
In the note I would write-
Dear King,
I am sorry that the mother owl’s baby died but I would like to inform you that it was
not my fault. I actually saw a farmer digging a yam as big as me. I was hungry one after-
noon so I went to the farm to have some food. As I flew around searching for food, I saw a
farmer digging a yam which was 1 inch in size. Dear king, I was so surprised to see that! I
couldn’t wait to tell someone about it. I saw iguana coming so I told him about the yam. If
you don’t believe me, please go to the farmer’s house on the other side of the forest. You can
ask the farmer and find out the truth.
Sincerely,
Mosquito
I am sure the king and all the other animals will set me free after knowing the truth.
