The Christmas Event

Around 5 pm, everybody
from different states starts
entering the big building that
has farm animals in the back
and the front. It is the Rodeo
Of The Ozarks. You can hear
people say, “Ew what is that
SMELL?!” Yes, the smell
reminds me of the stinkiest
smell of all, cow poop. Every time I step out of the vehicle, I cover my nose from the
smell like I forgot to bring a mask to the store during the pandemic. Of course, my mom
would say, “See, for not listening!” She always had time to lecture me, but I would
ignore it. Everybody was there: my family, my church friends, and the pastors from
different states. I always loved spending Christmas with my whole church. I just feel like
it’s more comforting than anything in life.
Church starts between 12 pm and 2 pm. Men set up tables and chairs while the
ladies prepare the food before the pastor prays for our feast. Children run around
everywhere while men yell at them saying, “SIT DOWN!!” which hurts my ears. I can
hear it as I write this. After the pastor prays, kids line up first to get their food. It is
