148 The Unforgettable Moments in Life

                       My name is Edith Garcia, and I was born in San Diego, California, but grew up in

               Greenfield, California. The holiday that impacted me most was Christmas because of family


               traditions. I loved it so much because of the food. First, we would make tamales and posole.

               When my family was making them, you could smell them from a mile away. There was chicken,


               pork, and cheese tamales, and they all tasted amazing in your mouth. There were always a lot of

               mouth-watering tamales! My family was large and included my mom, dad, my three sisters, and

               eleven uncles and aunts with a lot of cousins to count. I also had my lovely grandparents. We


               would crash at my uncle's place to celebrate. It wasn't big, but it was enough to host and

               celebrate.


                       When the Christmas holiday was barely starting, my parents, uncles, aunts, and

               grandparents would set up a big tent for my cousin, sisters, and me. They would decorate it


               inside to make it look pretty and cool. Inside the tent, there would be white, green, and red colors

               to represent the colors of Christmas. The tent was set up because, at 12 pm on the day of
