               middle, and end. If there was a lack of published literature representing the students, cultures,

               and ideals of Lakeside, we could at least attempt to address it through our own writing.



                       Through reaching out to the NWA Co-Op, the Springdale Schools ESOL Department, the

               Marshallese Education Initiative, and, via Aaron Killingsworth, Melanie Carbine, we began to


               hammer out what this project would look like.



                       Students were tasked with interviewing two to three people regarding their traditions,

               beliefs, and stories about where they grew up. From there, students chose one interview to type,


               edit, and form a story out of the information they collected. Interviews came from their relatives,

               teachers, fellow students, themselves, and family friends. Some of the students interview family


               living in different cities, states, and even countries.



                       They collected the stories, added details from multiple interviews, and published them for

               the world to read. Some interviews are long, some are short, and all of them tell a story. Lakeside


               is so proud of the work they put in and extremely thankful for the community members that

               made this project possible.
