12 The Unforgettable Moments in Life

Two brothers lived in a unique house In a small town in Northern Iowa. When you

walked through the front door, you entered a big, rectangular living room. You could choose to

go to the left to enter a small room with a kitchen and a dining room, or you could go right down

a long hallway lined with bookcases filled with DVDs and VHS tapes. There were cobwebs in

the bookcases. The living room had a weird design that included a screen and a glass door to the

outside.

On cold, snowy days in Northern Iowa, Dan and Shane, the two brothers, would play

rough house inside. On one of those snow days, the boys decided to play chase. As they chased

each other, they entered the living room. Dan was in the

lead and headed for the screen and glass door and to the

snow outside. In Dan’s haste, he ran towards the door,

twisting the handle to propel himself out, but the door

was locked taking the full weight of his body. His head

slammed straight through the glass! When he went

through the glass, he cut open his forehead. As he

pulled his head back through the jagged glass, he

managed to cut open his neck and had to receive several stitches. He still has this scar to this day.

The lesson learned was

never to run in the house again!
