10 The Unforgettable Moments in Life
The Final Race in Blue Eye By Addison Edgmon
By Addison Edgmon
The day started on March 3rd, 2021. Me, my mom, my papa, and Grandma Deb were going
to the Blue Eye, a dirt race track in Missouri. We got our white go-kart trailer and the white
Chevy. On our way, we stopped at the gas station
to get gas for the go-karts, snacks, and drinks. We
got back into the truck and Papa got the gasoline
tanks back into the trailer. He shut the trailer door;
then we got back on the road.
Two hours later, we arrived at the track. It was
5:25; nobody was really there because we got
there early. The races started at 6:43, so we
unlocked the gate and drove the truck into the pits.
After I parked the truck, we got the karts out. After
we got the go-karts out, we got the track prepped
and ready to be raced on. Finally, I got dressed in my suit and helmet. We started up my go-kart
and rolled it to the starting line.
After it ended, people got trophies and money. I remember this moment because I see my
go-kart sitting in the shed collecting dust. It brought back good memories of the times I raced
with the support of my family. I hope that track is still being used because I haven't been out
there for 2 years.
