2.3.2 New Relocated Toilet Areas
New systems to relocated toilet areas are to be designed in accordance with BS EN12056
and in accordance with the principles as set out in the typical drawings included in section
?
2.3.3 General
All pipework systems are to be tested on completion to the requirements of BS EN12056
and certificates provided together with record drawings.

2.4 Hot & Cold Water Services
2.4.1 Existing Toilet Areas to be Re furbished
Where existing systems are to be reused the contractor is to check what all systems are
compliant with current water regulations and McDonald's specification. Some significant
(but not all) points to check are,
- that blending valves provided to washbasins and cleaners sinks and if so are they
immediately adjacent to washbasins. Remote blending valves for example in ceiling voids
are not acceptable
- that there is a hot water circulation system that is immediately adjacent to blending
valves
- that all hot and cold water pipework in ceiling voids, service ducts and plant areas are
insulated and fitted with ID bands and direction arrows
2.4.2 New Relocated Toilet Areas
Pipework to the new areas is to be connected to the existing hot and cold water systems in
a convenient and cost effective location.
All pipework systems are to comply with current water regulations, codes of practice and
legionella legislation together with McDonald's specification and typical design drawings,
see section?
2.4.3 Gas Installation
Where the construction of new toilet areas involves the relocation of existing gas
pipework then the contractor is to report on this and provide a design and cost for the
works involved which are to comply with current gas regulations.
Where there are alterations to existing gas fired kitchen then the gas pipework system is
to comply with current gas regulations.
Gas interlock systems are to be provided to McDonalds current requirements.
