2.2 Supply and Installation of Sanitary Ware

Where toilet areas are being relocated then new sanitary ware is to be installed in
accordance with the sanitary ware schedule - see section?

Where toilet areas are remaining in the same locations but are being refurbished then the
contractor is to refer to the design brief as to whether new sanitary ware is to be provided.
If existing sanitary ware is to be reused then the contractor is to take note of the condition
and report to the Project Manager any defects with photographic back up.

In cases where existing wc's are to be reused then the cisterns are to be inspected and
traditional overflows are included they are to be replaced with the integral overflow type
with dual flush facilities.

If traditional urinals are installed then the Project Manager is to be advised and a decision
will be made whether to replace the urinals with the waterless type.

Washbasins are generally of the vanity type in modules of 2 or 3. In some cases for
example where space is restricted the Architects drawing may call for semi recessed or
wall mounted basins as the schedule.
