 Externally socketed pipes and fittings: Fix with sockets facing upstream.
 Jointing:
 Method: Push fit.
 Jointing differing pipework systems: Use adaptors intended for the purpose.
 Cut ends of pipes: Clean and square. Remove burrs and swarf. Chamfer pipe ends before inserting

into ring seal sockets.
 Jointing or mating surfaces: Clean and, where necessary, lubricate immediately before assembly.

Fixing and jointing PVC-U eaves gutters type Supports to be as manufacturers standards with due
allowance for expansion
 Fixing:
 Supports:
 Stability: Fix securely.
 Fixing centres (maximum): Submit proposals.
 Additional supports: At joints in gutters and near angles and outlets.
 Fasteners: Round head wood screws.
 Jointing: Clip jointed with integral gaskets.
 Method: Clip jointed with integral gaskets.

 Smoke testing: Do not use.

 Preparation: Temporarily block all outlets.
 Testing: Fill gutters to overflow level and after 5 minutes closely inspect for leakage.
