Turaf and Community Pharmacy Scotland
for in-house training sessions. He stated,
"Continuous education is vital, given that
our staff is the first point of contact for
patients and serves as the face of our
pharmacy."
Highlighting success stories, Naim shared,
"Patients often express their gratitude for
the free services and prescriptions provided.
One memorable case involved a traveller
who sought our services while away from
home and found relief for their condition."
Looking ahead, Naim shared his plans,
"Yes, we are exploring the implementation
of Pharmacy First Plus, which would allow
prescribing pharmacies to broaden their
services." Pharmacy First Plus includes
the assessment and treatment of acute
common clinical conditions which are within
the IP providing the service’s competence.
Personally, he expressed, "I am planning
to undertake independent prescribing in
the coming months, aiming to complete it
by year end." This expansion, according to
Naim, "will enable us to offer an even more
comprehensive service, especially in the
areas of respiratory and dermatological
conditions, contributing to the overall health
and well-being of our patients."
