Hiring Manager Role in Induction
There can be no ‘one size fits all’ to induction and that, ideally, all inductions should be
tailored to the requirements of each individual and their specific development needs.

Post Interview / Offer Stage
Complete the Offer section of the Recruitment Portal to trigger the
start of the Digital On boarding Process. (Include details of the Training
Branch in comments box)
Liaise with Talent Acquisition Team to confirm offer of new role
Accepting Offer
New starter will begin Digital On boarding Process
New starter will be sent a link to confirm DBS status, if applicable.
HR Administration Team will liaise with Pharmacy Manager to confirm a
start date
HR admin will send out:
• Contract
• Welcome Pack
• Details of Training Branch (if applicable)
Pharmacist Recruitment Only
Talent Acquisition Team will forward the New Starter Form to Resource
Planning who will then book the new starter into branch and arrange
cover for the first 3 days in post.
Pharmacy Manager to contact New Starter to ‘Welcome’ them and
advise them of the documents they will receive and what to do with
them:
• Contract – read, sign and return
• Welcome Pack – Read
Keeping in Contact - 3 month Notice Period
Contact 8 weeks prior to start day:
• Have you received new starter forms and contract?
• Do you have any questions?
• Make sure they have your contact number at branch
Wales Only (Pharmacist Roles)
• Have you started / completed NESA training for all Welsh Services?
Contact 4 weeks prior to start day
• Ask for details to process uniform order ready for Day 1
• Do you have any questions?
England Only*
• Do you have a release 2 Smart Card?
• If so, have you transferred across to your new pharmacy?
• If not, have you begun the process to obtain one
Wales Only*
• Update on NESA
*Not applicable for Delivery Driver roles.
