The widely anticipated new National Pharmacy First
Advanced Service for England launched on 31st January.

With demand for walk-in healthcare advice
and treatment rising in community pharmacy
as patients are unable to access same-day
GP appointments, this new service not only
supports the funding challenges that the
sector currently faces, but also improves February
access to healthcare for patients where it is
limited in other primary care settings. funding
Funding of the service is part of the Deliver a minimum of 1 clinical pathway
agreement for £645 million investment consultation* in February to meet your
pledged within the ‘Delivery Plan for threshold activity level, to enable you to
recovering access to primary care’.
claim** a monthly fix payment of £1000.
Remember, the threshold activity level to get *Gateway point within clinical pathway must be crossed for
the £1000 payment, increases monthly as a claim to be made
shown below: **Data to populate a payment claim for this service will
automatically be added to the MYS portal. Contractors to
submit the claim within the MYS portal, as part of the
normal month end claims process.
