market, competitiveness of companies, consists of indicators related to innovative potential.
As can be seen from Table 3.3.4, among the top 10 ranked countries in the last five
years, Singapore was ranked second after Switzerland, but in 2019 it took the first place. If
we look at the exact statistics, Switzerland has been leading this ranking for six years, and
Singapore for four years. This country takes 3rd place in 7 out of 12 indicators of the global
competitiveness index, 1st place in terms of "efficiency of goods and services" and 2nd place
in terms of "efficiency of the labor market" and "development of financial markets". The
recording of these results is influenced by the measures taken by the state to improve the
system of higher education in the country and train highly qualified specialists.
For 10 years, Singapore has been on the 1st place in the Doing Business Index
published by the World Bank Group and the International Finance Corporation. According to
the conducted research and the results of the conducted survey, the stability of the political
system of the state, effective economic policy, the availability of high investment
opportunities and the development of infrastructure influenced the conditions created for
opening and running a business in Singapore and achieving high results.
